Thank you for your interest in Church Planting in the Vancouver/Victoria, BC area.  Below you will find the materials necessary to begin your application process to be considered to join in this effort:

Please follow the instructions on the West Coast Church Planting Application.  This same application can be submitted for planting opportunities throughout Vancouver/Victoria, BC as well as the Pacific Northwest (including Seattle and Portland).
 
Prompt response by you and your references is essential to a timely application process.  A minimum of five returned reference forms is necessary for completing the application process.  Please email the reference form below to seven individuals. We suggest that you personally contact seven individuals to notify them that you are sending the reference form and to ask them to complete the form.  The quickest way for your references to respond is to send the completed form back by email or fax (both are listed on the reference form).  If you are mailing the reference forms, make seven copies of the attached reference form and send it with a reply envelope addressed to West Coast Church Planting Group, 2020 Maltby Rd Ste 7-342, Bothell, WA 98021.  Sending seven forms will help insure that we receive at least five references in a timely manner.  References are to be sealed and returned to Vancouver Church Planting at the address noted on the reference form.  Please note, these references are needed even if you have previously been assessed.
 
The following is a summary of a typical application/assessment process:
 
1. Send reference forms to seven (7) individuals and follow-up with a phone call asking them for prompt response.
 
2. Complete and submit via email West Coast Church Planting application. Include the following items with your application:

a. Digital family photo

b. Resume 

c. Sermon audio or video file. If the file is too large to email and is not already available online, contact Natalie for instructions on how to submit the file.

 

 

3. Schedule through Natalie a follow up Phone Interview with a church planting director or assessor once all materials are received (including application, resume, photo, sermon audio or video file, and a minimum of 5 reference).

 

4.Complete and submit the Confidential Questionnaire. If you would like to save time in the process, you may submit the questionnaire prior to the phone interview.

 

5. Submit a request to Natalie to take the following Online Profiles:*

a. Entrepreneurial Assessment Survey (EAS) – Free – 15 minutes

b. Golden Profile: STMi Assessments (DiSC/Myers Briggs) - $60 paid by applicant or partner church.** - 30 minutes

c. Enrich Marriage Profile (if Married) - $40 paid by SCP – 30 minutes for applicant; 30 minutes for spouse 

d. Strengths Finder - $15 paid by applicant or partner church – 15 minu

 

6. Materials reviewed; Decision Made to Proceed to Assessment

 

7. 4-Hour Face-to-Face Assessment Interview Conducted with the Applicant & Spouse

 

8. Field Visit Conducted (assessment interview may take place during field visit)

 

9. Final Decision Made to Partner / Planting Field Agreed

*Online profiles take approximately 90 minutes for applicant and 30 minutes for spouse.

When the entire application and assessment process is complete we will be able to determine if we are to partner together with you in planting a church.  Our assessment process is not intended to tell you if God is calling you to plant, but instead is to help The West Coast Church Planting determine if we are to partner with you.  If we do choose to partner with you, the assessment and application results enable us to best assist you in your church planting process.
